Policía Nacional suspende e investiga agentes por denuncia de médico en Santiago

El Horizonte, Santiago RD.- Nuestra Policía Nacional informa que, apegada al principio de transparencia institucional, como servidores públicos de cumplimiento de ley, investiga la denuncia interpuesta por el doctor Noel Antonio Gómez Ferreira, por ante la Dirección de Asuntos Internos, en contra de dos agentes de nuestra institución por supuesto maltrato, cuando fue detenido el pasado domingo mientras éste se dirigía hacia su residencia en Santiago, durante el horario restringido.
Con el fin de esclarecer esa situación, la Subdirección de Investigaciones de Asuntos Internos Cibao Central inició el proceso de entrevistas con el fin de esclarecer lo ocurrido la noche del 7 de febrero en el sector Los Álamos, de la citada ciudad, y establecer responsabilidades de acuerdo a los reglamentos que rigen nuestra Policía Nacional.
Asimismo, un sargento y un cabo fueron suspendidos de sus funciones hasta tanto culmine el proceso de investigación, en torno a la denuncia hecha por el galeno.
Reiteramos una vez más que los profesionales de la salud son nuestros más cercanos aliados en la lucha contra la pandemia en estos últimos 11 meses, trabajando mano a mano con el fin de que se cumplan los protocolos sanitarios para reducir los contagios por coronavirus.
