INAPA invertirá 70 millones para obras en San Pedro de Macorís

El director ejecutivo del Instituto Nacional de Aguas Potables y Alcantarillados (INAPA), ingeniero Horacio Mazara, dejó iniciados este miércoles los trabajos de construcción de obras para mejorar la calidad de vida de la gente de este municipio y de Quisqueya.
Eso incluye la rehabilitación y equipamiento de un campo de pozos, la instalación de un depósito regulador y la construcción de un edificio en el Acueducto Quisqueya, y el mejoramiento del Acueducto de Consuelo, con una inversión de RD$70,053,528.57 para optimizar el servicio de agua potable en la provincia San Pedro de Macorís.
Con estos trabajos, el INAPA suministrará agua potable a 3,020 nuevas acometidas y mejorará la vida de 52,465 petromacorisanos en 2019 y de 91,354 para 2039.
La rehabilitación de estos sistemas de abastecimiento incluye la construcción de tres pozos y sus equipamientos, el desmantelamiento del depósito regulador y empalme a un nuevo depósito vitrificado con capacidad para 700,000 galones, y la construcción del edificio comercial y operacional del Acueducto Quisqueya.
También, en el Acueducto Consuelo se llevará a cabo la perforación, electrificación y equipamiento de los pozos número 3, 4 y 2, se construirá la línea de impulsión de 16 pulgadas de acero hasta la línea de impulsión y la rehabilitación de dos depósitos metálicos con capacidad para un millón de galones.
“Hoy estamos dando los primeros tubazos de estas dos obras, pero hay otras en ejecución que en conjunto con las hoy iniciadas suman un total de inversión de 130 millones para eficientizar el servicio de agua potable en la provincia de San Pedro de Macorís; el presidente Medina ha autorizado 100 millones adicionales para un total de inversión en la provincia de alrededor de 230 millones”, explicó Mazara.
Cabe destacar que proximamente se iniciará el proceso de licitación para la rehabilitación de la planta de tratamiento de San Pedro de Macorís, la cual asciende a un costo total estimado de 73 millones de pesos y cuenta con un monto inicial aprobado de 12 millones.
El acto de inicio de trabajo se llevó a cabo en el Club de Leones del municipio de Consuelo y participaron autoridades provinciales, representantes comunitarios, así como directores y encargados departamentales del INAPA.
Con este tercer tubazo, la entidad cierra el mes de julio con más de 400 millones destinados a la construcción y rehabilitación de obras en diferentes provincias del país.
