Adriano Espaillat: “Trump no puede irse tranquilo para su casa sin enfrentar la justicia”

El Horizonte,Washington EE.UU.- El congresista Adriano Espaillat participó este viernes en una vigilia por la paz y la unidad de los Estados Unidos, después de los disturbios del miércoles en el Capitolio en Washington, donde se ha reportado la muerte de por lo menos cinco personas.
Espaillat volvió a indicar que lo ocurrido esta semana en el Capitolio es responsabilidad del presidente Donald Trump, por lo que indicó que debe enfrentar la justicia.
“Él (Donald Trump) no puede irse tranquilo para su casa sin enfrentar la justicia, perdemos todos si esto sucede”, dijo al ser entrevistado por periodistas.
De igual forma, respaldó el reclamo de que Donald Trump sea destituido antes del 20 de enero, cuando es el traspaso del poder.
Dijo que Trump debe ser destituido lo antes posible pero que invocar la enmienda número 25, no es posible porque para esto se requiere la colaboración del vicepresidente y del gabinete y hasta el momento no se tiene.
Asimismo, aseguró que la salida es que sea destituido a través de la Cámara de Representantes, donde luego el Senado tendría que votar a favor y se le podría impedir que se perdonara a él mismo.
Miles de seguidores del mandatario de EE.UU., Donald Trump, se concentraron ante el Capitolio en Washington, el miércoles pasado, generando choques con la Policía y caóticas escenas a las puertas del Congreso, donde los legisladores abordaban la validación formal del triunfo de Joe Biden en las presidenciales del pasado seis de noviembre.
Este viernes las banderas del Capitolio de Estados Unidos fueron izadas a media asta, tras el deceso del policía Brian Sicknick, de 42 años que elevó a cinco los muertos en el asalto de ese edificio por partidarios del presidente saliente, Donald Trump.
Otras cuatro personas, todas asociadas a las protestas también murieron. Una veterana de la Fuerza Aérea y ferviente partidaria de Trump murió por disparos de un policía del Capitolio dentro del edificio y envuelta en una bandera del presidente.
Otros tres simpatizantes de Trump perecieron en zonas del Capitolio por “emergencias médicas”: dos hombres murieron por ataques cardíacos y una mujer por las lesiones que sufrió al ser arrollada por la multitud fuera del edificio.
